This is a fixed-term position and is available for immediate start. (Flexible on start date based on notice period)

Job
This position has a significant progress opportunity in a fast-growing team. You will be part of the core team in order to deliver the C4C milestones and directly contribute to C4C’s growth.

Please see the person's specifications and roles & responsibilities below:
Essential:
Experience in research and development
Understanding of laboratory setup, HSE requirements, experience in equipment specification development and procurement
Understanding concrete and cement chemistry

Desirable:
R&D experience in developing low-carbon concrete
Understanding carbonation mechanisms, and critical assessment of CO2 uptake and concrete performance over various life stages (product, use and end-of-life)
Experience in patent writing and grant proposal development
Experience in the mineralisation of CO2 for various applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Independent self-starter who can develop and test new ideas that leverage existing company capabilities and expertise.
Plan, procure and manage the laboratory experiments in line with regulations.
Development and utilisation of cement/concrete chemistry knowledge for carbon capture and utilisation in concrete
