Graduate Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools

Location: Birmingham, North & South Birmingham
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time or Part-time | Agency / Supply Work

We are recruiting graduates who have completed their degree within the last 3 years to work as Cover Supervisors across secondary schools throughout North and South Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future career in teaching or education, or anyone looking to build their experience working with young people in a school environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

* Supervise secondary school classes during teacher absences

* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain on task

* Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment

* Work across a variety of secondary schools in Birmingham

* Gain experience across different year groups, subjects and school settings

What We're Looking For

* A degree completed within the last 3 years

* A performance-based reference from your university must be obtainable as part of the registration criteria

* Confidence communicating with and managing groups of secondary-aged pupils

* A professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach

* An interest in education, teaching or working with young people is highly desirable

Flexibility to Suit You

As this is agency-based work, you will have the opportunity to work across different secondary schools throughout North and South Birmingham.

We can offer:

* Full-time or part-time work

* Working days between Monday and Friday

* School hours of approximately 8:30am to 3:30pm

* Experience across a range of Birmingham secondary schools

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
