Graduate Finance Assistant – Kingston, Surrey – Hybrid – £25,000

A well established and growing tech business are looking for a bright, motivated Accounts of Finance Graduate to join them. This is a brilliant opportunity for a personable, analytical graduate to gain commercial experience amongst and experienced team where full training will be provided.

As the Finance or Accounts Assistant you will support the Finance Team with accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and records, as well as providing general administrative support. This role is key in ensuring smooth day-to-day finance operations and maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.

Key responsibilities of this Finance Assistant role will include:

Processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders.

Managing the list of weekly payments.

Managing credit card reconciliations and obtaining missing invoices.

Assist with weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.

Reconcile supplier statements and help resolve discrepancies.

Support debtor management, including monitoring outstanding payments and assisting with credit control.

Assist with month-end processes such as journals, accruals, and prepayments.

Enter and maintain accurate financial data within the accounting system (e.g. Xero).

Respond to finance-related queries from staff, suppliers, and customers professionally and promptly. Assisting with the annual audit process.

Ad-hoc project work where required Administration: Opening post and distributing to the correct staff and departments.

The ideal candidate for this Finance Assistant role will have strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. An AAT qualification or degree in Accounts or Finance would be beneficial.

The initial starting salary is up to £25,000 plus benefits and bonus.
