Graduate Fire Engineer

A respected, multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking for a motivated Graduate Fire Engineer to join their growing fire safety team in Manchester.

This is an ideal position for a Graduate Fire Engineer eager to kickstart their career and gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The successful Graduate Fire Engineer will assist senior engineers in delivering fire strategies, fire risk assessments, and design-stage consultancy services. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Graduate Fire Engineer will help ensure building safety compliance across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

This opportunity allows the Graduate Fire Engineer to develop technical knowledge in fire dynamics, compartmentation, evacuation modelling, and passive/active fire protection solutions while working under the guidance of experienced engineers and fire safety professionals.

• A degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related subject

• A genuine interest in fire safety and engineering principles

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Eagerness to learn and progress towards Chartership (IFE or equivalent)

• Proficient in technical software such as AutoCAD, FDS or similar (preferred but not essential)

• £30,000 - £35,000 starting salary

• Structured training and development programme

• Regular CPD sessions and mentoring from Chartered Fire Engineers

• Hybrid working and flexible hours

• Clear route to promotion and professional registration
