About the Role

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or youth work?

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Brent is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Graduate LSA / Cover Supervisor to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop classroom experience, work closely with students, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will split their time between supporting students in lessons and covering classes during teacher absences, making this an ideal stepping stone into education.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise classes in the absence of teaching staff.
Support students across a range of subjects and year groups.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students who require additional assistance.
Help maintain positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
Assist teachers with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
Support students with SEND, EAL, and varying learning needs.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate

Degree educated in any subject.
Passion for working with young people and supporting education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident managing groups of students.
Able to build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, or school experience is desirable but not essential.
Considering a future career in teaching or education.
