Graduate Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineer

This could be the ideal role for you if you're an engineering graduate who enjoys fixing things, working on projects, and thinking of ways that things can be done better.

The business manufactures a range of items that make up part of large buildings, for example sports stadiums.

A range of machines are used in the manufacturing process. Your role will be the first line of defence for these machines; fixing breakdowns, making repairs, and generally maintaining them.

But there is a lot more to it: around 40% of your time will be working on a wide range of projects.

And you’ll also be looking at how processes can be improved. For example, if there was a fault in a machine, working out why it happened and thinking of ways to prevent it happening again.

It’s a small team, and you’ll be working with experienced colleagues, and learning from them. But you’ll also have a lot of independence to get on with things.

40 hrs a week either 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm

You should have an Engineering degree. Manufacturing would be ideal, but some others are ok (Mechanical or Electrical focused) if you can demonstrate interest in this area. And you’ll need to enjoy fixing things.

You won’t be sat at your desk all the time, you’ll be out and about on the floor. There will be some heavy work involved, and at times you will get dirty
