Fusion People are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of our esteemed clients, a global manufacturer of specialist heavy equipment with a busy production site in Cookstown.

This is a great opportunity for an engineering graduate, or someone with an HNC/HND and hands-on experience, to build their career improving real manufacturing systems on large-scale machines.

What you'll be doing

Reviewing current manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement
Leading on containment, root-cause analysis and corrective actions when production issues arise
Applying lean tools such as 5S, Poka-Yoke and structured problem solving to improve flow
Implementing engineering changes on the shop floor and keeping accurate records
Carrying out time studies to support production planning and labour management
Supporting new product development, advising on tooling and fixtures and overseeing prototype builds
Working with cross-functional teams to solve problems and hit deadlinesWhat we're looking for

An HNC, HND or degree in engineering
Knowledge of lean manufacturing
Confident with Microsoft Office
Experience with 3D modelling software, ERP/MRP systems (such as Oracle), machine shop or fabrication would all be a bonus
Organised, methodical and calm under pressure, with a sharp eye for detailWhat's on offer
