Salary: £30k - £35k

Job Role Responsibilities:

My client is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join either their site in North Leicestershire or South Nottinghamshire

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be required to undertake a design role on high pressure pipeline and plant systems, working to high engineering standards within the budgets and time-scales set by our clients.

• Providing project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover.
• Ensuring agreed work-hour and cost targets are adhered to through effective project and financial control.
• Preparing project plans and programmes to ensure work is carried out in accordance with the business.
• Providing appropriate engineering designs in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards.
• Ensuring good engineering practices are maintained.
• Preparing contract documentation for procurement of services and materials.
• Evaluating tenders and providing recommendations for contract award.
• Managing contracts and authorising invoices within allocated financial authority for payment.
• Maintaining good client relationships to help secure continuing business.
• Preparing estimates and technical input for proposals to prospective clients

The Candidate:

• You will be enthusiastic and conscientious about the work you produce, leading by example with good attention to detail.
• You will also have the ability to learn quickly and work methodically under your own initiative and as part of a team.
• At least a 2:1 (Upper Second-Class Honours) in a Mechanical Engineering degree
• Full UK working rights
