Job Description - Graduate Process Chemist

Are you a chemistry graduate or early-career scientist looking to apply your knowledge in a commercial manufacturing setting? A long-established UK-based chemical manufacturer is seeking a Process Chemist to join their Technical and Innovation team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in process development, optimisation, and scale-up. The role is ideal for someone with a degree in chemistry, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in chemical manufacturing.

Job Description

Assist in identifying and evaluating opportunities for process improvement.
• Conduct lab experiments supporting process changes via HPLC, GC, and GC-MS analysis.
• Support the scale-up of new products to full-scale production.
• Analyse production data to d

rive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to troubleshooting issues such as deviations or yield losses.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

BSc or equivalent in Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• Strong interest in process development and manufacturing.
• Understanding of chemical principles and reaction mechanisms.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
