Graduate Project Engineer About the Role Our client is part of a dynamic and forward-thinking water treatment design team, delivering exciting and challenging projects across the UK and internationally. As a Graduate Project Engineer, you will join the Project Engineering team, responsible for the development, organisation, and execution of specialist engineering solutions from concept design through to detailed design and implementation. You will work closely with the Sales, Operations, and Service teams to coordinate projects effectively while developing your skills in defining project scopes and delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities * Support the Project Engineering team in delivering project-specific activities in line with client specifications throughout the entire project lifecycle. * Liaise with key suppliers, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. * Undertake process design calculations and engineering assessments. * Produce detailed design documentation in accordance with sound engineering practices for industrial water and wastewater treatment systems. * Carry out multidisciplinary plant design and specification, including: * Equipment schedules * Valve schedules * Pipework schedules * Electrical connection schedules * Ensure plant equipment is appropriately sized and suitable for operational requirements. * Use proprietary OEM software to generate process performance projections and assess the suitability of water treatment systems. * Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support successful project delivery from concept through implementation. About You We're looking for a motivated and proactive individual who is eager to learn and develop within a collaborative engineering environment. You will have: * A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. * Excellent attention to detail, particularly when applying engineering principles. * Good IT skills. * Initiative, integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Desirable Skills & Experience * An understanding of process chemistry and fluid dynamics. * Previous engineering work placement or industrial experience. * Experience or interest in water or wastewater treatment.
