We’re looking for a proactive and driven engineering graduate to join us as a Junior Project Manager, learning to run our system installations end to end. Reporting to our Head of Installations and working alongside an experienced project manager, you’ll start by supporting live projects from initial enquiry through to post-installation handover, and develop towards taking full ownership of your own projects over time. We’re less interested in prior experience than in strong technical aptitude, effective problem-solving skills, and the drive to learn.
What You’ll Do • Project Delivery Oversee end-to-end door installation projects, from initial enquiry to post-installation handover. Act as the main client contact throughout, ensuring effective coordination and delivery at every stage. • Technical Planning Produce technical drawings, specifications, and accurate quotes to support project planning and delivery. • Procurement & Materials Management Procure and manage materials, ensuring alignment with project timelines and requirements. • Scheduling & Coordination Coordinate schedules, teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. • Commercial Control Manage project budgets, variations, and documentation to ensure commercial control and project transparency.
Basic Skills & Qualifications • You’re a Problem Solver. You recognise issues, determine key drivers, and make the right trade-offs. • You Push Improvements. You aren't happy with the status quo. You take initiative and drive results. • You’re an Energiser. You have a positive attitude, rise to challenges, and adapt to curveballs. You’re always curious to learn. • You’re a Team Player. You communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and take on feedback. • You’re Technically Proficient. You have a university degree related to construction or a similar technical discipline. You’re capable of performing the required tasks or learning fast.
Bonus Skills & Qualifications • Ability to read and produce technical drawings. • Experience in quoting and materials procurement. • Industry knowledge in construction, or similar fields. • Familiarity with project management or job management software (eg. Simpro).
Working Hours • 37.5 working hours per week • Working hours are typically 09:00 – 17:30 with a 1-hour lunch break, Monday to Friday
What We Offer • £27,500 base salary plus performance bonus. • Structured training and mentoring from experienced project managers, with a clear path to running your own projects. • Enhanced holiday allowance and paid parental leave. • Opportunities for continuous development and career progression. • A collaborative team culture that values innovation and excellence.
