An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Graduate SEN TA to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Reading. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for a graduate who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and gaining valuable hands-on experience within a classroom environment.

The successful Graduate SEN TA will work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to support pupils' academic progress, confidence, communication, and personal development, helping them achieve positive outcomes throughout their school journey.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate SEN TA, you will provide personalised support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, both through one-to-one interventions and small group activities. You will help remove barriers to learning, encourage independence, and support pupils in developing key social, emotional, and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
Assist teachers in delivering accessible and engaging lessons.
Support pupils' communication, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
Help implement individual learning and behaviour strategies.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Encourage independence, resilience, and positive engagement in school life.About You

The ideal Graduate SEN TA will have:

A degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related subject.
A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
