A specialist SEN school in Preston is seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join its experienced team from September. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a practical understanding of additional needs while making a genuine difference to pupils' education and development.
The Role - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs, potentially including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, Speech & Communication Difficulties, SEMH, and associated learning needs.
Working through 1:1 support, small-group interventions, and classroom activities, you will help pupils access a personalised curriculum while developing their communication, confidence, social skills, and independence.
You will work closely with teachers and specialist professionals, using pupils' EHCPs to understand individual barriers to learning and implement appropriate support strategies.
