A secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Graduate Teaching Assistant – The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support students with their learning and development across the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students in the classroom and during lessons
Working with individuals and small groups to help improve their understanding
Providing additional support to students who require extra help with their learning
Helping teachers prepare resources and maintain a positive learning environment
Supporting students with their confidence, engagement and progress
Assisting with behaviour management and encouraging positive attitudes towards learning
Building positive relationships with students and staff
Supporting the wider school team with day-to-day duties where required
Graduate Teaching Assistant – The Candidate

The school is looking for a motivated, patient and enthusiastic graduate with a genuine interest in working with young people.

Previous experience working with children or young people would be beneficial but is not essential. The role would suit graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, SEN or wider education.

Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to build good relationships with students are essential.
