Aspire People are recruiting graduates and experienced youth professionals to support children and young people across schools and education settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Psychology, Child Development, Education, Youth Work, Criminology, Sports Development or a related subject who is looking to gain practical experience working with children and young people.

You do not necessarily need a Teaching Assistant qualification. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate relevant experience supporting young people and who have a genuine interest in SEND, SEMH, behaviour or pastoral support.

The Role:

* Providing 1:1 and small-group support
* Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and behavioural needs
* Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
* Supporting emotional regulation and confidence
* Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
* Supporting pupils during lessons and unstructured times
* Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
* Helping pupils develop independence and social skills
* Monitoring engagement and providing feedback to school staff

The Ideal Candidate:

* Degree or relevant professional background is desirable
* Experience working with children or young people
* Genuine interest in SEND, SEMH, behaviour or child development
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Patient, resilient and empathetic
* Confident supporting challenging situations
* Professional and reliable approach
* Strong understanding of safeguarding
