Grants & AP Administrator

The Digital Catapult Finance Team has an opening for a Grants and AP Administrator to provide some additional administrative support to the team based in London (near King’s Cross/St Pancras). The Grants and AP Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Grants Team in the claim reporting process to a variety of funders, notably IUK, UKRI and Horizon European as well as providing administrative assistance to the wider Finance Team. This entry-level role represents a fantastic opportunity to actively learn and build your career in the world of grant claims management and submission working in a leading edge, fast paced organisation in the digital technology sector.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)

Grant Claims:

• Assist with the quarterly grant claim process by collating, analysing and organising the required financial evidence. Liaise with project partners to collate and chase information necessary for claim submission.
• Liaise with Auditors to coordinate and gather information needed for quarterly project audits.
• Maintain the electronic filing for all grants. Provide assistance and contribute to the monitoring of grants including updating relevant databases and spreadsheets.

Finance:

• Manage a range of administrative tasks including financial support to Project Managers, creating new suppliers and sending across purchase order details.
• Processing invoices, expenses and credit cards and posting the accrual, reviewed by the Senior Accountant
• Creditors aging report
• Support the wider Grants Team in improving administrative processes and documentation while also assisting the Finance Assistant and wider Finance Team.

• The successful candidate will require prior work experience within an administrative role, previous experience in the grants area is desirable but not essential.
• Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Highly organised, ability to prioritise time effectively within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Willingness and determination to learn new systems.  Confident PC Skills
• Self-starter, self-confident with a can-do, flexible attitude. Team player who is also able to work independently
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
