Main Responsibilities 1. To develop print graphical elements as required by the Post-Production Manager or person responsible for the project. 2. To work alongside the Post-Production Manager to achieve the required ‘look’ for assigned print projects and ensure the pipeline can facilitate the look efficiently. 3. To identify and outline bottlenecks and deficiencies on the project technical or otherwise to the Post Production Manager or person responsible for the project. 4. To ensure that the quality of graphical print elements produced are in line with the channel’s guidelines and specified deadlines. 5. To propose and implement solutions to address deficiencies identified in print projects. 6. To develop merchandising materials and publicity and props following the direction of the Post Production Manager or person responsible for the project, such as Posters for branches/offices/events, Banners for IPT campaigns, Mail out letters and design, Leaflets, Advertisements for publications including wraps for newspapers, Banner stands for events and branches and IQRA media wall/banner stand designs. 7. To design and develop graphic elements of print media for marketing purposes, such as Digital banners for the website and all e-shots, Pre Ramadan booklet design; AKF catalogue design and layout, Annual activities review for donors, Design & layout for newsletters for donors, Annual report design & layout. 8. To conceptualise and develop branding, identities, colour combinations for existing and upcoming projects.
Other Responsibilities
● To comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements. ● To hold a valid passport and be willing and able to travel extensively and at short notice. ● To have the flexibility to work additional hours as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role and meet the business needs. ● To be responsible for health and safety in the area of his/her control and ensure that he/she is familiar with Iqra TV’s health and safety at work policy. ● To respect the unique contribution of every individual and work positively in an equal opportunity and diverse environment. ● The post holder may be required to apply for a Disclosure check.
Person Specification
Good passes in Maths and English at GCSE, O’levels or equivalent qualification. Demonstrable experience in print media for marketing purposes Demonstrable experience of working in a studio environment with a similar target audience. Good knowledge and understanding of a studio environment. Good IT skills with the ability to understand basic software used with an IT component. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Fluency in spoken and written English. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and adapt to change. Ability to work well on own initiative. Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role and meet the business needs.
