ABOUT YOU
As a a

Grid Code

Senior Test Engineer

within the UK Electrical team, you'll assess products and documentation to ensure compliance with test standards.

Required skills and experience:
Background in product in grid code testing, or inverters, or EV charging, BESS, energy or electrical safety testing
Relevant

Electrical/Electronic

formal qualifications or degree
Grid Code testing experience or experience and knowledge in one or more electrical safety standards e.g . IEC/EN 50549//UL 1741 SA/IEEE

Experience of working in accordance with a Quality Management System
Knowledge and experience of certification schemes
Experience of generating test reports for customers and certification purposes
Experience with data acquisition and analyzer tools, AC/DC simulators, RLC load bank and communication interfaces

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Key activities:
Conduct product testing, including preliminary design reviews (PDR) both on-site and remotely
Evaluate technical documentation, processes, and Equipment Under Test (EUT) against standard requirements
Develop and execute established test plans, ensuring evaluations meet standards and deadlines
Communicate project updates to customers, management, and internal/external audit teams
Offer ongoing technical support, guidance, and standards interpretation, including test procedures
Prepare project and product quotes, and conduct research on emerging standards, technologies, and trends
Support accreditation activities, including audit follow-up, corrective actions, and adherence to Intertek guidelines
Participate in customer calls, meetings, and provide technical support
