Job Title: Cylindrical Grinder
Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Salary: £18.00 – £21.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, Day Shift (39 hours/week) 7am to 5.15pm
Job Type: Permanent

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cylindrical Grinder to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role working with high-spec machinery and tight tolerances, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines to produce precision components

* Manual machines such as Jones and Shipman and Myfords, also Studer experience would be advantageous

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

* Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment

* Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards

Candidate Requirements:

* Proven experience in cylindrical grinding within a precision engineering environment

* Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
