Ground Worker

Main job:
Prepare and maintain site grounds for construction, including earthworks, drainage, and basic civils.

Key Responsibilities
1. Site prep: Clear land, mark out areas, set levels
2. Excavation support: Dig trenches, lay pipes, spread hardcore
3. Drainage & civils: Install kerbs, manholes, basic concrete
4. Keep site tidy: Clean roads, manage waste
5. Safety: Follow site rules, wear PPE, report hazards
6. Teamwork: Take direction, work with other trades

Requirements – UK
- Quals: CSCS card (green/labourer). NVQ in Groundworks a plus
- Experience: 1-2 years construction/labouring
- Skills: Manual handling, basic tools
- Tickets: SMSTS (or willing to get)

Typical Day
- AM: Site arrival, PPE check, briefing
- Work: Dig, lay, clean
- PM: Tidy site, report issues
