Ground Worker

Multi Trades Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Ground Worker to join a busy road works and civil engineering project in Gloucester.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Ground Worker with a strong background in road works, civils and general groundwork. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for ongoing project work with a well-established site team.

About the Role

You will be working as part of a site team carrying out groundwork and road works duties, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Duties Include:

* General groundwork and civil engineering duties

* Road works and highway maintenance

* Excavation and trenching

* Drainage and ducting works

* Installing and working around kerbs, slabs and edging

* Ground preparation and levelling

* Concrete works and foundations

* Operating hand tools and small site equipment

* Assisting plant operators and other trades

* Moving and preparing materials

* Following site drawings and instructions

* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

* Following all site Health & Safety procedures

About You:

* Previous experience working as a Ground Worker

* Experience within road works, highways or civil engineering

* Good knowledge of general groundwork and site procedures

* Able to carry out excavation, drainage and ground preparation works

* Reliable, punctual and hardworking

* Able to work effectively as part of a team

* Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements

* Full PPE required

* Relevant CSCS/NPORS or other site qualifications advantageous
