Groundcare Machinery Engineer

Our client, a reputable employer based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, is seeking a skilled Groundscare Machinery Engineer to join their dedicated service team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals with a passion for servicing high-end groundcare machinery to advance their careers within a well-established business specialising in premium golf course equipment and agricultural machinery.

Monday to Friday, 39-hour working week
No weekend working

Service and maintain groundcare machinery, including professional mowing equipment, utility vehicles, and farming equipment, in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new machinery to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Diagnose and rectify faults across electrical, hydraulic, powertrain systems, and other components
Use diagnostic software via a laptop (training provided) to assist with fault finding
Record detailed work reports, including photographs and documentation
Report machine defects and recommend additional services to enhance customer satisfaction
Assist with workshop duties as required to ensure operational efficiencyRequirements of a Groundscare Machinery Engineer:

Background in groundcare, agricultural, construction, or commercial vehicle service
Keen eye for detail and a thorough, methodical approach to work
IT literate, capable of operating diagnostic software
Full driving licence
Flexibility for hours including Saturday mornings on a rota and extended hours during peak periods
