Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance professional looking to take the next step in your career?
Our client is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience, as well as an experienced grounds maintenance operative who is ready to take on their first supervisory position.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring that high standards are consistently maintained across multiple sites, while supervising at least one member of staff and delivering an outstanding service to customers.
The Role
As Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising and supporting at least one member of staff
* Grass cutting and general grounds maintenance
* Weed spraying and grounds treatment
* Shrub, border and bed maintenance
* Hedge cutting
* Leaf clearance
* Carrying out daily work checks across multiple sites
* Using an electronic mobile workforce tracking system
* Responding quickly and effectively to customer requests
* Ensuring consistently high standards of work
* Working outdoors throughout all seasons and in all weather conditions

Has previous experience in grounds maintenance

Is organised and able to manage their own workload
Enjoys working as part of a small team
Is confident working outdoors in all weather conditions
Is looking to develop their career and potentially take their first step into supervision
Essential Requirements
Previous grounds maintenance experience
Full, clean and current UK driving licence
Good communication and organisational skills
A reliable, hardworking and professional approach
Desirable
PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates
PA2 spraying certificate
Previous supervisory or team-leading experience
What's In It For You?
Salary from £30,000 per annum
20 days' annual leave + 8 bank holidays
Holiday entitlement increases by 1 day each year following 2 years' service, up to a maximum of 25 normal days
