Groundworker

We are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker to join a long-term project in the Suffolk area.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and experienced Groundworker looking for consistent, long-term work with an established contractor.

The Role

The successful candidate will be working as part of a site team, carrying out general groundworks with a particular focus on services and ducting.

Duties will include:

• Digging trenches for underground services
• Excavating around existing services
• Laying and installing ducting
• Backfilling and reinstatement
• General groundworks and excavation
• Assisting with service installations
• Using hand tools and small plant where required
• Working alongside machine operators and other site personnel
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Groundworker
• Experience digging for services and working around underground utilities
• Experience laying ducting and digging trenches
• Ability to read basic drawings and understand service runs
• Good understanding of site health & safety
• CSCS card required
• Reliable and hardworking attitude
• Able to work as part of a team

Relevant experience with utilities, civils, infrastructure or ducting projects would be highly advantageous.
