Groundworkers – Rail & London Underground Projects

ISS Ltd is recruiting experienced Groundworkers for upcoming major rail and London Underground projects across London.

We are looking for reliable, experienced operatives interested in working with ISS Ltd on a regular basis across a variety of projects. Work is expected to start within the next couple of months, with ongoing requirements thereafter.

Shifts will include a combination of midweek day and night work, depending on the project.

Duties

Groundworking duties will vary between projects and may include:

Excavation and reinstatement

*

Drainage works

*

Concreting

*

Kerbing and edging

*

Ducting

*

Foundations and associated civils works

*

General groundworks

*

Working around existing rail infrastructure

*

Assisting with other site activities where required

*

Following site safety procedures and safe systems of work at all times

Requirements

Candidates will need:

*

Valid PTS

*

BTA competency/training

*

Previous Groundworks experience

*

Relevant rail, London Underground, civils or infrastructure experience

*

Good knowledge of site safety

*

Ability to work effectively as part of a site team

*

Flexibility to undertake both midweek day and night shifts

*

A reliable and professional approach

PTS and BTA are required for these roles. Where an experienced candidate does not currently hold BTA, ISS Ltd may be able to arrange BTA training where necessary.

Additional relevant competencies and plant tickets should be included with your application.

Pay & Ongoing Work

Rates are £21.00–£23.00 per hour, depending on the applicable shift/project.

Payment will be made via Umbrella PAYE only on these projects.

The first works are expected to commence within the next couple of months, with the intention of offering ongoing opportunities across different major rail and London Underground projects throughout London.
