Group Accountant

A leading player in the global mining sector is seeking a highly skilled, personable and motivated Group Accountant to join its dynamic finance team. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing, fast-paced business that plays a pivotal role within the organisation.

Key Requirements:

· ACA qualified, trained at a Big Four accounting firm

· 3+ years post-qualification experience, preferably within a complex, multinational environment

· Experience with UK and US GAAP

· Strong technical accounting background (IFRS)

· Proven experience in group consolidation, financial reporting, and statutory accounts

· Highly proficient in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, HFM)

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts

· Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy

· Partner with senior finance and operational stakeholders to drive insights and improvements

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and advise on implications for the group

· Support ad hoc financial projects, including M&A, system upgrades, and process improvements
