Group Accountant

One of my top law firm clients are looking for a qualified Group Accountant to join their collaborative team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a global environment, supporting strategic decision-making through accurate and insightful financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities in this Group Accountant position -

• Prepare monthly management accounts and adjustments (e.g. bad debts, rebates, disbursements).
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Liaise with local finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Review and analyse local office accounts and balance sheet items.
• Support quarterly group management accounts preparation and provide commentary.
• Contribute to statutory accounts preparation under IFRS for LLP and subsidiaries.
• Assist with the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with audit teams and international tax teams, including support for Pillar Two reporting.
• Monitor and improve group reporting processes and systems.
• Drive consistency and efficiency across global finance teams.

Person Specification

Essential:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience in analytical review and working to tight deadlines.

Desired:

• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
