Job Description - Group Accountant - Superb Role for 1st time movers

Are you practice qualified, looking for your first Industry role?

Nervous about what this may look like? Will you enjoy it? Is it too much of a risk?

Moving into Industry can be a daunting move and at some point, the above thoughts may have come to mind. If so, I have the perfect opportunity with a fantastic client I can vouch for!

An opportunity to join a global organisation on a 2 year fixed term contract basis in West Yorkshire. This opportunity is ideal for first/second time movers and offers excellent exposure across the whole business. Its a varied role which will see you get involved in the following:

Preparation/review of monthly accounts
Producing reconciled monthly and year-end accounts in accordance with agreed timetables
Central finance tasks/projects e.g. Capex analysis, sustainability etc.
Provide strong technical accounting input both in terms of IFRS and FRS102
To assist with quarterly external IFRS reporting forming the basis of the published Brenntag SE consolidated, audited financial statements
To support and develop (local and group) reporting systems to assist local management, and to streamline and standardise reporting
Coordinating with auditors (both internal and external)
Preparation of annual statutory accounts, and assistance with external auditors
Assisting with integration of acquisitions
