Group Accounts Manager ACA Qualified Big 4 Experience

A leading FTSE 350 Engineering group headquartered in London is seeking an experienced and technically strong Group Accounts Manager to join its high-performing finance function. The Role

The Group Accounts Manager will report to the Group Financial Controller and take responsibility for the preparation of consolidated group financials and statutory reporting under IFRS. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, including the CFO and Audit Committee, and plays a critical role in ensuring financial compliance and reporting excellence across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of consolidated financial statements for the Group under IFRS
• Oversight of month-end close, group consolidation, and internal reporting processes
• Liaison with external auditors and ownership of year-end audit deliverables
• Resolution of group-level technical accounting matters and implementation of accounting policies
• Support for investor relations and preparation of regulatory filings as required
• Development and continuous improvement of financial reporting systems and internal controls
• Provision of guidance to divisional finance teams on financial reporting and compliance

Candidate Requirements

• Fully ACA qualified (Big 4 required)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP
• Post-qualification industry experience in a listed or large, complex organisation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge
• Experience using consolidation/reporting tools (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) advantageous
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Base salary of £75,000 - £80,000 per annum
