Success Recruit are currently working with a long-established and highly respected business within the construction equipment sector, who are looking to recruit a Group Construction Sales Manager to join their expanding team covering Essex, Ropley, Swingfield & Billinghurst.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and knowledgeable sales professional with a strong background in construction machinery to take on a key role in driving growth across the South and Southeast.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Management Team and will be responsible for visiting customers, conducting product demonstrations, and acting as the group’s construction expert—collaborating closely with Agricultural and Automotive Sales colleagues.
The successful Group Construction Sales Manager will be expected to have:
Previous experience in construction machinery sales or a related field
A solid understanding of the construction industry and its market trends
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build rapport
A proactive, results-driven mindset with excellent customer service skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
A full UK driving licence

Job Specification / Purpose of the Role:
As the Group Construction Sales Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all existing and potential construction clients within your territory. You will be responsible for showcasing a range of high-quality construction products, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting customers with technical product knowledge. This role offers the chance to build strong client relationships, develop tailored solutions, and help shape the group’s construction sales strategy.
This is an ideal opportunity for a sales professional who is passionate about construction equipment, thrives in a client-facing role, and is motivated by success and continuous improvement.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Visiting customers across the South and Southeast to promote and demonstrate products
Acting as the construction lead for sales visits, demos, and technical support
Identifying new and existing business opportunities
Presenting premium construction products and recommending suitable solutions
Collaborating with internal teams to meet individual and group sales targets
Maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Managing construction inventory and liaising with key suppliers
Reporting sales results and insights to senior management
Representing company values in all client interactions
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
(Some weekend and seasonal hours may apply)
Salary:
To be discussed - dependent on experience plus
