Group Finance Director

Group Finance Director | £110,000 - £130,000 | Wider Package Inc. LTIP | Based in Leyland with NW Travel | PE Backed Services Business

Axon Moore has been retained by a private investor as they look to appoint a Group Finance Director capable of overseeing and leading a group of individual businesses.

The role will closely support the Managing Director, helping to inform strategy, lead complex operational change, and drive the long term improvements across the group. The role is part of a small but very dynamic management team.

It's important to express that this role will be key at both a strategic level and also at an operational level. They will be expected to be hands-on in the day-to-day running of the business at a local level across several small finance and operational teams. It is a very diverse and broad role and will require an agile candidate capable of doing both ends of the spectrum.

This business is growing but isn't aggressive in it's outlook. They prefer to build with a long term perspective in mind, acquiring the right businesses that fit with their strategy and are willing to heavily invest internally to drive efficiencies and improvements across their business. They're looking for a candidate with experience of navigating similar change, both from a technical perspective but also from an interpersonal leadership perspective.

Candidates must:

- Be qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Have experience of overseeing other departments other than finance
- Multi-site, multi-entity experience. Ability to travel across the NW is essential.
- Experience of driving strategic initiatives including restructuring
- Be an individual driven by holistic responsibility for a business, not just finance
