Group Finance Director

Lusona is working exclusively with a leading engineering firm poised for significant growth, backed by a prestigious private equity firm. Our client is searching for a driven and accomplished Finance Director to join their senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in their exciting future.
In this role, you will:
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute strategic financial initiatives, driving profitable growth
Lead a finance team and o

versee the financial planning and budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasts and adherence to spending plans
Conduct regular financial analysis, including margin analysis, variance analysis, and profitability assessments, to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
Manage cash flow, including forecasting, collections, and disbursements
Review and negotiate commercial contracts to ensure favourable financial terms and maximise margins
Implement strategies to improve profitability and manage costs effectively
Monitor and analyse variances between budget and actual performance, identifying root causes and taking corrective actions
Manage investor relations, maintaining strong communication and transparency with the private equity partner
Implement best practices in financial modelling, working capital management, and risk mitigation
Oversee internal controls and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
You are an ideal candidate if you possess:
Proven experience as a Finance Director (or equivalent) in a mid-sized engineering or manufacturing firm is essential
Deep understanding of financial accounting principles, GAAP, and internal controls
Prior experience of reviewing commercial contracts
Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and valuation techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building relationships with all levels of the company
A collaborative and results-oriented leadership style with a passion for building high-performing teams
Prior experience working with a private equity firm is a plus
