Group Financial Accountant

Our client is an established name in their sector and they currently have an outstanding opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join their team.
Reporting to the head of department, this role will be key in the continued drive to produce high quality financial information and duties will include

• Production of consolidated and statutory accounts
• Subsidiary accounts production
• Balance sheet accounts
• VAT reporting
• Assisting with corporate tax computations and returns
• Supporting with budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensuring that financial controls are maintained and recommending improvements as appropriate

This role would suit someone who has trained in practice and maybe looking for their first move into industry. Conversely, if you already have commercial exposure and are looking for your next step, this could also be a great role for you.

Essential attributes include excellent technical accounting experience, a thorough understanding of VAT and experience of CT computations.

Whilst this may look like a standard Financial Accountant role, this is definitely not the case. The right candidate must have a drive, enthusiasm and a desire to improve.

Advanced IT skills, notably in Excel are required and exposure or interest in Power BI would be a distinct advantage.
