We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Financial Accountant to join our team. As the Group Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial reporting and analysis of the company at a group level. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and financial success of the organization.
As a Group Financial Accountant at Commify, you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and be individually or jointly responsible for:
- ensuring accurate and timely preparation of consolidated management accounts, including inter-company reconciliation and agreement, and consolidation adjustments
- liaising with the external auditors and taking the lead on the preparation and audit of the year-end statutory consolidation
- compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining effective financial controls across the group
- maintaining the financial records of the group
- Management of other technical accounting elements of the group’s finances, including involvement in:
- Transfer Pricing
- Internal Audit
- Treasury work - including calculation of loan and other debt balances, hedging and FX
- IFRS 16 calculations
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a similar role with a strong knowledge of financial accounting concepts and principles
- Has worked in a business that has tight month-end and year-end closing processes and can provide accurate and timely financial information for management and statutory reporting
- Has experience in preparing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Has strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and reports
- Can work closely with external auditors
- Is proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Is a proactive individual with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Is familiar with group consolidations, FX translations and IFRS
