Group Senior Finance Manager North Cambridgeshire Hybrid working
Broster Buchanan are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner for a large North Cambridgeshire organisation, as they look to hire a Group Financial Accounting Manager.
You will take ownership of statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, VAT, and group consolidation for an organisation demonstrating consistent year on year expansion.
This role is pivotal in ensuring financial integrity across the group, working closely with auditors, regulators, and executive stakeholders. You will also provide leadership to a team of four, driving high standards and supporting professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on the production of statutory accounts for all group companies, including group consolidation, in partnership with external auditors.
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating the annual audit process.
Ensure full VAT compliance, including VAT returns, partial exemption annual adjustment, and Capital Goods Scheme.
Oversee cashflow forecasting, ensuring liquidity across the group.
Evaluate short-term deposit options and present recommendations to the Executive.
Calculate daily cash movements to ensure required funds are available.
Oversee capital spend tracking and forecasting.
Manage the production of Central Office management accounts and budgeting.
Work with external consultants to complete corporation tax returns.
Act as a key finance lead on projects such as system upgrades and process changes.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of four, fostering a high-performing culture.
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred, although CIMA or ACCA with strong experience will be considered).
Experience in partial exemption VAT is highly desirable.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven statutory reporting and consolidation experience.
Advanced Excel skills, confident working with large volumes of data.
Demonstrated team management experience with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities - willing to put in additional hours during peak periods.
Attention to detail and accuracy is non-negotiable.
