Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage and support a finance team, ensuring effective guidance and leadership.
• Oversee the month-end process, including management accounts and board pack delivery.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and maintain clean balance sheet reconciliations.
• Regularly forecast cash flow and manage financial positioning.
• Review and approve monthly payroll and utilize financial software for reporting and insights.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes to align with financial objectives.
• Act as the primary contact for external financial stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and tax filing requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement within the finance team, enhancing processes and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a numerical background.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Effective management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and strong software skills, particularly in Excel.
• Experience in process improvement and systems management.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in a high-tech, fast-moving industry.
• Familiarity with ERPs and accounting systems.
