Group Financial Controller

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join our client prestigious luxury retailer based in London. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance within the retail sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with day-to-day financial operations and contributing to projects aimed at expanding the business and identifying new revenue streams.

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the finance department.
• Assist in financial planning and the analysis of cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
• Analyse financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Collaborate with the management team to enhance and better integrate finance, HR, and IT functions.
• Lead and support initiatives to open new locations and explore new areas of revenue generation.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

• Must hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a financial role within the retail industry.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams across business units.
• Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Significant experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficient in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
