With a combined headcount of c.300 across manufacturing, assembly, sales, engineering and multi‑site distribution, this is a role with real breadth, impact and visibility. You’ll be the driving force behind a modern, engaging and commercially aligned HR function — one that supports capability, strengthens culture and enables leaders to perform at their best.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll take ownership of the full People agenda across both businesses, including:
* Shaping, implementing and delivering a Group People Strategy
* Uplifting recruitment, attraction and selection — making processes engaging, robust and proactive
* Creating structured onboarding and induction that improves early engagement and retention
* Developing career pathways, succession plans and capability frameworks
* Leading employee engagement activity and building HR visibility across all sites
* Coaching and developing managers to strengthen leadership capability
* Ensuring policies, procedures and employment law compliance stay ahead of change
* Providing hands‑on HR support across manufacturing, assembly and multi‑site operations
* Managing two HR Administrators and a Health & Safety Specialist
* Working alongside an outsourced HR partner for ER support across the distribution network
This is a role for someone who enjoys being present — on the shop floor, in the operation, and alongside leaders — while also delivering strategic uplift and long‑term People improvements.
About You
You’ll be a high‑impact HR professional with:
* Proven experience in manufacturing, engineering or similar operational environments
* Confidence influencing senior leaders and uplifting capability
* Strong operational HR grounding, balanced with strategic awareness
* Experience supporting multi‑site or geographically dispersed teams
* A visible, engaging and commercially minded approach
