Group Intercompany Accountant

Group Intercompany Accountant, PE backed Sustainability, up to £65k + bonus, London

Our client is a global Sustainability firm operating across EMEA, Americas, and Asia Pacific. As the company continues to scale, they are seeking a detail-driven Group Intercompany Accountant to join their London-based finance team.

Reporting into the Senior Group Reporting Manager, this role is focused on the integrity and accuracy of intercompany balances across a complex global structure. You'll oversee intercompany loan reconciliations, lead quarterly cash settlements, and ensure proper accounting treatment across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a highly collaborative role that will see you working closely with Group Treasury, international finance teams, and offshore support functions, with scope to improve and shape intercompany processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual reporting for the group treasury entity, ensuring accuracy of external and intercompany loan balances.
• Perform detailed monthly intercompany reconciliations across group entities, identifying and resolving mismatches.
• Lead the quarterly intercompany cash settlement process:
  • Coordinate invoice confirmations with business units.
  • Review and validate intercompany invoices for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Provide payment instructions to Group Treasury and offshore processing teams.
  • Reconcile settled payments, update ledgers and manage suspense accounts.
• Support junior finance team members with accurate ledger postings and ongoing reconciliations.

About You

• Qualified Accountant; ACCA, CIMA, ACA
• Proven experience in posting journals and reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting systems.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of ownership and accuracy.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Confident communicator, able to work with remote teams across different cultures and time zones.
• Organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team.
