Overview:
This well regarded and long-established manufacturing group are seeking a dynamic and visionary Group Procurement Director to join the senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role for a strategic thinker and accomplished procurement leader who thrives in a project-based manufacturing environment and has a demonstrable track record of delivering transformative procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of group-wide procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive transformational change across supplier networks, delivering measurable improvements in cost, quality, lead time, and resilience.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals across business units to ensure high performance and consistent standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in procurement and supply chain practices.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and commercial teams to align procurement activity with project delivery needs.
• Evaluate and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring the business is resilient and adaptable in a changing global environment.
• Contribute to group-level strategic planning and decision-making as a key member of the senior management team.

• A proven procurement leader with extensive experience in a project-based, industrial or process manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrable success in devising and executing procurement strategies that drive performance, value, and transformation.
• Strong knowledge of modern procurement practices, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation.
• Experienced in leading cross-functional teams and managing procurement professionals across multiple sites or business units.
• A confident communicator with the gravitas and influence to operate at board level and across senior stakeholder groups.
• Strategic in outlook with a hands-on approach and a results-oriented mindset.
• Degree educated in a relevant field; MCIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
