Job Summary

SAP PLM Integration Architect:

Location: United Kingdom

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Integration Architect to lead the design and implementation of critical integration solutions for our enterprise systems. This role will be pivotal in an Integration Discovery project, connecting our Teamcenter PLM system with the existing SAP S4HANA on-premise environment to facilitate the processing of complex Bill of Materials (BOM) information for downstream operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in complex systems integration, SAP middleware, and non-SAP middleware solutions, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with third parties and deliver robust architectural artifacts.

• Integration Strategy & Design:




• Define and develop comprehensive integration strategies and architectures for connecting Teamcenter PLM with SAP S4HANA, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.


• Lead the architectural design of data flows and interfaces for complex Bill of Materials (BOM) information between PLM and ERP systems.


• Evaluate and select appropriate integration patterns, technologies, and tools to meet project requirements and enterprise standards.




• Technical Expertise & Solutioning:




• Provide expert guidance on SAP middleware solutions, with a strong focus on PLMSI (Product Lifecycle Management System Integration) for data exchange.


• Analyze and understand existing non-SAP middleware solutions (e.g., AIG, T4ST) and propose optimal integration approaches.


• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into detailed technical integration specifications.




• Project Management & Coordination:




• Act as the primary technical liaison for integration activities, working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and third-party integrators.


• Manage and oversee the end-to-end integration lifecycle, from discovery and design to development, testing, and deployment.


• Ensure alignment of integration solutions with overall enterprise architecture principles and security policies.




• Documentation & Governance:




• Develop and maintain high-quality architecture artifacts and deliverables, including integration designs, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and technical documentation.


• Establish and enforce integration governance standards, best practices, and design patterns.




• Problem Solving & Optimization:




• Identify and resolve complex integration challenges, performance bottlenecks, and data discrepancies.


• Proactively recommend improvements and optimizations to existing integration landscapes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in complex systems integration consulting, with a focus on enterprise applications.


• Demonstrated strong understanding and hands-on experience with SAP middleware, including specific knowledge of PLMSI.


• Proven ability to work effectively with and manage integration activities involving third-party vendors and external teams.


• Solid understanding of various non-SAP middleware solutions and their application in hybrid integration scenarios.


• Expertise in building comprehensive architecture artifacts and deliverables (e.g., solution designs, technical specifications, sequence diagrams).


• Experience with PLM systems (preferably Teamcenter) and ERP systems (preferably SAP S4HANA).


• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with SAP PLMSI.


• Familiarity with T4ST (Teamcenter for SAP).


• Knowledge of Siemens AIG (Active Integration Gateway).

Experience with cloud integration platforms and hybrid cloud architectures
