Group Treasurer

This buisness ensures they meet the evolving needs of their customers and stakeholders while minimising their environmental impact.They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Treasurer to join their executive team. The ideal candidate will influence and drive a best in practise Treasury function whilst playing a crucial role in managing the financial strategy, ensuring liquidity, optimising capital structures, and mitigating financial risks.Responsibilities:Lead and develop the existing teamDevelop and implement the company's treasury strategy, policies, and proceduresOversee the management of liquidity to ensure financial obligations are metOptimise the capital structure to balance cost and riskOversee cash management, investment, and funding strategiesManage relationships with banks, rating agencies, and other financial institutionsEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and financial standardsLiaise with the senior management and board to provide strategic financial advice.Qualifications:Batchelor’s degree in a finance or accounting based subjectAccountancy part or full qualification, e.g. ACCA, ACAAMCT qualifiedProven experience in a senior treasury role, ideally within the mining or a similar hard sector industryStrong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and treasury operationsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong leadership and team management abilities.On offer is a generous base salary of c.£140-160K DOE with a competitive benefits package and an opportunity for professional growth and development.
