We are looking for a new team member who is energetic, enthusiastic, has a positive attitude and is keen to learn to join our team as a GRP Laminator.

Main Duties

*

Carry out material lay-up work using pre-impregnated carbon fibre, glass fibre and wet lay-up techniques.

*

Prepare, handle and apply composite materials accurately in line with job requirements, work instructions and quality standards.

*

Complete vacuum bagging, curing and autoclave preparation processes to support the manufacture of high-quality composite components.

*

Work from technical drawings, templates and production documentation to ensure components are manufactured to specification.

*

Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy and consistency, reporting any issues or defects to the relevant team member.

*

Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area, following all company health, safety and housekeeping standards.

*

Support the wider production team with additional manufacturing tasks where required.

Desired Experience

*

Previous experience in a laminating, composites, aerospace, automotive, marine or high-quality manufacturing environment.

*

Hands-on experience with carbon fibre, glass fibre, pre-preg materials or wet lay-up processes would be advantageous.

*

Experience following technical drawings, job cards, work instructions or standard operating procedures.

*

Background in producing work to tight tolerances, quality standards and customer specifications.

*

Experience using hand tools, cutting equipment, trimming tools or basic workshop equipment.

*

Understanding of vacuum bagging, curing, bonding, finishing or inspection processes would be beneficial.

*

A strong awareness of health, safety, housekeeping and quality control within a production setting.
