Hairdresser

We are looking for a talented and compassionate Hairdresser to join our team. In this role, you will provide professional hair care services in a welcoming salon environment, enhancing the well-being and self-esteem of our residents. Your expertise and friendly approach will ensure residents leave feeling happy, confident, and cared for.

This role is based at Elmbridge Village, Cranleigh and is working 33 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide excellent hairdressing services, including cuts, styling, colouring, perms, and other treatments.

·       Conduct personalised consultations to understand each resident’s hair care needs and preferences.

·       Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming salon environment.

·       Assist in training additional salon staff on hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures.

·       Promote resident well-being and self-esteem through attentive, professional service.

·       Keep appointments organised, ensuring a high capacity diary.

·       Report any health and safety incidents promptly and comply with all relevant policies.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

·       Level 1, 2, and 3 Diploma in Hairdressing, including colouring, setting, and perming.

·       Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy (preferred).

·       Genuine interest in working with elderly residents and a caring approach.

·       Previous experience working with the 65+ age group or within care, hospitality, or leisure is desirable.

·       Attention to detail, reliability, and a sense of humour.

·       Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

·       Enhanced DBS check required.
