Job Title: Full-Time Hairdressing Lecturer (FE) – Level 1 & 2 + Apprenticeship Knowledge
Location: Swindon
Contract Type: Temp to Perm - Full-Time
Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 Dependent on experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hairdressing Lecturer to join our dynamic Further Education team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 hairdressing programmes, with additional knowledge and input into the delivery and support of apprenticeship learners.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator or industry professional looking to inspire and support the next generation of hair stylists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Level 1 and Level 2 Hairdressing curriculum
• Support and assess apprenticeship learners in both practical and theoretical elements
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and tailored support
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and qualifications
• Liaise with employers and apprenticeship coordinators to ensure work-based learning is effective and aligned with standards
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement

About You:

• Relevant Hairdressing qualifications (minimum Level 3)
• Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
• Assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA) desirable
• Industry experience within a salon environment
• Experience teaching or training in FE or a work-based setting preferred
• Knowledge of current apprenticeship standards and frameworks
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A passion for education and supporting student success
