H&S Advisor M&E Contractor Slough

About the Role

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a major data centre project in Slough.

This is a site-based position working closely with the project and site management teams to ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained throughout the project.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site teams, monitoring compliance, carrying out inspections and promoting a strong positive safety culture across the project.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day Health & Safety support across the data centre project.

* Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations.

* Monitor compliance with RAMS and company H&S procedures.

* Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.

* Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, engineers and subcontractors.

* Identify hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

* Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations.

* Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.

* Monitor subcontractor compliance with site H&S requirements.

* Maintain accurate H&S documentation and records.

* Ensure compliance with relevant UK Health & Safety legislation and client requirements.

* Support the project team in maintaining and improving H&S standards.

Requirements

* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

* Previous experience within a construction environment.

* Experience working on data centre, M&E, mechanical or building services projects would be highly advantageous.

* Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.

* Experience carrying out site inspections, audits and investigations.

* Strong understanding of RAMS and construction safety procedures.

* Confident communicating with site teams, subcontractors and senior management.

* CSCS/appropriate H&S qualification or card.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* Full UK driving licence advantageous.
