Handyman/Maintenance Operative

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyman / Property Maintenance Operative to work across a portfolio of properties and development projects throughout the UK.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with a broad range of practical maintenance and property skills who is comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for completing jobs to a high standard.

The role will involve travel between different properties and development sites. A company van or suitable vehicle will be provided or you may use your own.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out general property maintenance and handyman duties across residential and/or commercial properties

* Undertake basic carpentry and joinery work

* Carry out minor plumbing repairs and maintenance

* Complete basic electrical tasks where appropriately qualified/competent

* Painting, decorating and general finishing works

* Repair doors, locks, handles, fixtures and fittings

* Assemble and install furniture, shelving and other property fixtures

* Identify maintenance issues and carry out appropriate repairs

* Complete snagging works on development and refurbishment projects

* Prepare properties for occupation, handover or inspection

* Liaise with contractors and trades where specialist work is required

* Ensure properties and sites are left clean, safe and presentable

* Purchase or collect materials and equipment where required

* Maintain tools, equipment and the company vehicle

* Provide updates on jobs completed and highlight any additional works required
