Handyperson/ Estate's Engineer - Farnborough

Your new company
You will be working for an organisation which is based in Farnborough. The organisation has a great company culture and offers a wide range of benefits for the right candidate. They are looking to bring in an Estates Engineer to work on their site on a permanent basis.
Your new role
In this role you will be required to have experience working in an Estates Engineering role previously and be comfortable doing some of the following duties:

• PPM for buildings, infrastructure and facilities.
• Carrying out reactive maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
• Inspecting, repairing, or installing furniture, fixtures, and fittings (hang doors, install locks, lay carpet tiles, and erect studwork)
• Internal small-scale building works
• General handy-man jobs
• Painting and decorating
• Escort contractors around the site as and when required.
• Carry out work whilst ensuring that they comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• This position is on a shift work basis, including being on-call on weekends and bank holidays. Occasionally, late shifts will be required, which will be covered with overtime.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be eligible for this role, you must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check. For this reason, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

• 5-year address and employment history (without any gaps)
• Able to clear a criminal record check
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience in general building maintenance, preferably within a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience with PPM and reactive jobs.
• Good knowledge of building systems.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
