Are you an Electronics or Hardware Engineer looking to work on genuinely challenging technology involving FPGAs, high speed digital electronics, embedded software and advanced PCB design?
We are recruiting for a highly successful technology consultancy looking to expand its engineering team with talented engineers at both Graduate and experienced level.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems and want exposure to the complete hardware development lifecycle rather than being restricted to one small part of the design process.
You will be involved in:
• Designing complex PCBs incorporating FPGAs, SoCs, high speed network interfaces and analogue/RF circuitry • Developing FPGA solutions using VHDL • Implementing signal, image and data processing algorithms • Schematic capture and PCB development • Hardware bring up, debugging and testing • Developing embedded firmware and software in C/C++ • Linux device driver development • Working with PCB fabrication and assembly partners • Taking technically challenging products from initial concept through to working hardware
Graduate Hardware Engineers
We would like to hear from high calibre graduates or postgraduates with a strong academic background in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or another relevant numerate discipline.
You should have a 1st or 2.1 degree and ideally strong A level results in Maths and Physics.
You will also need practical knowledge of at least one of:
• FPGA development using VHDL • PCB design and layout • Embedded C/C++ development
This could have been gained through your degree, final year project, PhD, placement, internship or personal projects.
Experienced Hardware Engineers
For the experienced position, we are looking for engineers with 3+ years' relevant commercial experience in one or more of:
• Complex PCB design • FPGA development using VHDL • Embedded C/C++ development
Additional experience with high speed digital design, SoCs, analogue/RF electronics, signal processing, OrCAD, Linux or hardware bring up would be particularly useful.
More experienced candidates will also have the opportunity to mentor and provide technical leadership to other engineers.
