Are you a passionate and resilient leader with a strong background in pastoral care and safeguarding? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a real difference?

We are seeking a Head of School (Lower) to lead a dedicated team supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. About the Role

As Head of School, you will:

  • Lead and manage the Lower School provision, including a Deputy Head and tutor team.

  • Mentor and support staff through appraisals, coaching, and professional development.
  • Lead assemblies, tutor sessions, and celebration events.
  • Monitor and evaluate student behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing data.
  • Support curriculum planning and bespoke timetables in collaboration with SENCO and teaching staff.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in a pastoral or safeguarding role.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed practice.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • A calm, professional, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and rebuilding lives through learning.

Why Join Us?

This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a school that transforms lives. You’ll work with a passionate team in a supportive environment where your leadership will have a lasting impact on students’ futures.
